The rules are designed to be simple and as near to 'real' football as possible, except for:

Pitch: 50 x 30 yards maximum
Goals: 12 x 6 feet
Match: 12 minutes each way
Teams: U7s 5v5; U8s 6v6
Substitutes: 'Rolling' subs during any break in play
Discipline: 'Blue' card (2 min sin bin), 2 x Blue or straight Red (off)
Offside: No offside
Pass back to keeper: Allowed
Goal kicks: All goal kicks from hands
Free kicks: All direct, opposition retreat 5 yards
Corner kicks: Opposition retreat 5 yards
Kick-offs: Ball must go forward, opposition retreat 5 yards

The referees are there to help the children to understand the rules.
They will be flexible, for example giving children a chance to re-take foul throw-ins.
